Doctrinal Declaration, Father Rafał Trytek.
Kraków, February 2, 2006
For nearly half a century, Christian life has been in eclipse due to the spread of modernist errors and heresies, which have been repeatedly and infallibly condemned by the Church. These include:
-
Religious freedom, which in essence leads to the acceptance of state atheism;
-
A falsely understood ecumenism, which equates false religious doctrines with the One True Catholic Church and recognizes other religions, including Judaism, Islam, and even paganism, as paths leading to salvation;
-
An erroneous concept of the Church of Christ, which is no longer identified exclusively with the Catholic Church but is perceived as a broader entity that includes the Catholic Church yet is not limited to it;
-
The promotion of a single, syncretic world religion;
-
The adherence to Masonic ideas, such as the propagation of supposedly "natural" human rights, which are, in fact, an expression of anthropocentrism.

It is impossible for the True Church of Christ, His Hierarchythe Pope and the bishops in communion with him to endorse this apostasy! Whoever wishes to maintain and profess the Catholic Faith must acknowledge that the institution that persistently spreads and publicly professes such abominable errors has nothing to do with the true Catholic Church, and its leader, currently Joseph Ratzinger, is not a legitimate authority for Catholics and has no jurisdictional power over them. This means he is not the true Pope, the Vicar of Christ on Earth, the Successor of St. Peter in primacy, but merely a usurper and occupier of the See of Peter, like his modernist predecessors, who adopted, confirmed, decreed, and implemented the heretical teachings of the so-called Second Vatican Council. Otherwise, the Church of Christ would appear fallible, destructible, and defiled, which would contradict the promise of Our Lord that "the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Mt. 16:18). Therefore, just as I reject the apostasy of modernism, I also reject the false response to it, which the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX), of which I was a member until recently, forces upon its priests and faithful.
1. I reject as perverse and un-Catholic the SSPX's assertion that the Church can teach heresies, promulgate and implement universally binding liturgical laws (the Novus Ordo Mass and new sacramental rites) and disciplinary laws (e.g., the 1983 Code of Canon Law) that contain contradictions, errors, heresies, or are entirely invalid, harmful to the salvation of souls, and lead to Protestantism. I also reject the view that canonizations conducted by the Church can be questioned.
2. I reject the false alternative proposed by the SSPX—unity or the profession of the untainted faith. The unity of the Catholic Church is based on the same faith, the same sacraments, and obedience to the same Pope. There is no true unity where even one of these elements is lacking. Thus, one cannot profess the true faith against the unity of the
Church.
3. I reject the SSPX's system, in which the recognition of the Pope is purely illusory, where the Pope holds only an honorary primacy; and the only noticeable expression of recognition of papal primacy is the occasional hanging of a likeness of the current occupier of the See of Peter, whom the SSPX erroneously recognizes as Pope, in the sacristies of the Society's chapels and churches. In practice, the proper and "legal" authority for the Society, determining what a Catholic should accept or reject in Church teaching, is the SSPX Superior General. Thus, within the Society, the "authority" of the Superior General is placed above the "authority" of the person erroneously regarded as the true Pope.
4.I reject the hypocritical stance of the SSPX, which involves "playing both sides," the only real and most harmful effect of which for the souls of the faithful is the shielding and legitimizing of the perpetrators of the current widespread apostasy by attributing to them attributes of legality, and thus jurisdictional power over Catholics. This stance results from a betrayal of the sacred duty to pass on the entire integral Deposit of the Catholic Faith.
As a Catholic, it is my duty to profess the unadulterated Catholic Faith, the same as was commonly practiced until the death of Pope Pius XII. In particular, as a Catholic priest, I call upon all who love the Truth to reject any compromise with modernist occupiers and to join the common struggle for the Catholic cause in our hearts and in our Homeland! This fight will be difficult and may seem hopeless from a human perspective, yet there is no greater honor than participating in the struggle for the triumph of the Holy Church, which will ultimately prevail!
Let us beseech the Queen of Poland not to forget her nation in her prayers before the throne of the Heavenly King, and to obtain for us the strength to persevere in the Truth, true holiness, and love for God and our neighbors.
